The authorities are always quick to remind the public: “See Something, Say Something.” It’s a motto they want us to live by—but apparently, it doesn’t apply to the Calhoun County Prosecutor’s Office, the BCPD, or the MSP when one of their own is in the crosshairs.
We see the cover-up. We see the protected status of former MSP Detective Kris Douponce. And now, we’re saying EXACTLY what we see…

The Calhoun County “Protection Program“
While the justice system is usually a well-oiled machine for the average citizen, it seems to have ground to a screeching halt for Douponce. The community is tired of the excuses and the “Closed Case” stamps that reek of professional courtesy rather than professional conduct.
- The County Prosecutor, Dave Gilbert
- The City Manager who is the boss of the police chief
- Shannon Bagley, Battle Creek Police Chief
- The Mayor and City Commission
- The Blue Wall: A coordinated silence between the BCPD and MSP that protects the badge instead of the public.
Serious allegations of official misconduct are being leveled against local authorities in Calhoun County. The community is raising questions regarding a perceived lack of prosecution for former MSP Detective Kris Douponce, with some pointing to a “cover-up” involving the Calhoun County Prosecutor’s Office, Battle Creek Police Department (BCPD), and the Michigan State Police (MSP).
The involvement of prominent figures—and comparisons made to other high-profile failures in the justice system—has led to a call for public accountability. Concerned citizens are being encouraged to contact the Calhoun County Prosecutor’s Office to demand transparency and ask why these cases remain stagnant.
If the law only applies to those without a badge, it isn’t law—it’s a racket. We see the corruption, we see the silence, and we aren’t looking away.
