WWMT NEWS CHANNEL 3: THE OFFICIAL STENOGRAPHERS FOR Battle Creek Police Department?
When a newsroom starts locking its doors to whistle-blowers, ignoring expert evidence, and parroting unverified police talking points without asking a single tough question, they stop being journalists. They become a public relations firm for the government.
Here at FAFO Justice, we do what local corporate media refuses to do: we follow the facts, bring the receipts, and hold power accountable.
For months, WWMT News Channel 3 was happy to utilize our research, quote our reporting, and lean on our investigations when it suited them. But the second our work pointed the camera back at police misconduct, official narrative discrepancies, and institutional failure, Channel 3 pulled a complete vanishing act.
Now, we’re putting the spotlight directly where it belongs—on Lead Anchor Andy Dominianni and the editorial decision-makers at WWMT who would rather hide behind locked doors than report the truth to West Michigan.
The Affidavit: The Unbending Standard Andy Dominianni Refuses to Sign
Journalism isn’t about sitting in an anchor chair and reading whatever script a police department hands you. It comes with ethical, civic, and moral obligations to the public.

To test whether WWMT’s star anchor actually stands behind the police statements he broadcasts to thousands of households, an official Affidavit of Truth and Impartiality in Journalism was drafted and delivered to WWMT leadership specifically for Andrew “Andy” Dominianni. This affidavit put Andy Dominianni directly on the spot under penalty of perjury:

AFFIDAVIT OF TRUTH & IMPARTIALITY Andrew “Andy” Dominianni (WWMT)
• Swear 100% of BCPD reporting is true
• Affirm BCPD has ZERO corruption/bias
• Guarantee zero personal editorialization
• Attest BCPD public statements = facts
• Swear all errors come straight from BCPD
What the Affidavit Demanded Dominianni Swear Under Oath:
Absolute Accuracy (§3): Swearing under penalty of perjury that 100% of statements reported regarding the Battle Creek Police Department and the City of Battle Creek are accurate, objective, and true.
Institutional Absolution (§4): Affirming that there is “no corruption, systemic misconduct, or unlawful activity within the Battle Creek Police Department” and that all public statements issued by BCPD and the Mayor of Battle Creek are “completely true and accurate.
“The Blame Clause (§4): Swearing under oath that if any inaccuracies appear in WWMT’s broadcasts, “they are assumed to have originated from inaccurate information provided by the Battle Creek Police Department or the City of Battle Creek.
“Strict Neutrality (§5): Swearing that no bias, editorialization, or inflammatory language is inserted into his broadcasts.
The Reality? Andy Dominianni and WWMT leadership won’t touch this affidavit with a ten-foot pole. Why? Because signing it would force Dominianni to either legally admit WWMT acts as an uncritical mouthpiece for BCPD, or expose himself to perjury the moment a police narrative falls apart!

July 15: Turning Away Evidence and a BCPD whistle-blower.
On July 15, we walked right up to WWMT’s studio doors at 590 West Maple Street to hand-deliver a rock-solid dossier regarding the Jeremiah Spearman Terry Stop investigation.
We didn’t bring speculation. We brought undeniable receipts: Video Evidence & Public Records: Exposing a history and pattern of these type of stops against minority juveniles A 9-Page Expert Analysis: Breaking down the legal violations, improper Terry Stop procedures, and excessive use-of-force standards applied to a 16-year-old child.
The Andy Dominianni Affidavit: Forcing newsroom management to confront their own reporting standards.A BCPD whistle-blower: An retired law enforcement insider ready and willing to sit down on camera to expose systemic issues from the inside.Because these critical files were far too massive to transmit through standard email limits, we brought them directly to the newsroom. What was WWMT’s reaction?
They refused to review the evidence. They ignored the offer to interview a sitting police whistle-blower. And right after our visit, they slapped a sign on their front door directing the public to submit tips via email—the exact email inbox that regularly goes unanswered and cannot accept large evidentiary files!Talk about a systemic wall designed to protect official government sources while shutting out citizen watchdogs!
Calling Out Andy Dominianni: Where Did “Combative Teen” Come From?
Let’s talk about on-air editorialization and character assassination.
In Tylor Brummett’s June 24 coverage of the Spearman stop, Lead Anchor Andy Dominianni went live on air and broadcast a damaging characterization, labeling 16-year-old Jeremiah Spearman a “combative teen.

“FAFO JUSTICE DIRECT CHALLENGE TO ANDY DOMINIANNI:
1. Where did the description “combative teen” originate? Was it in the official police report, or was it created out of thin air in your newsroom?
2. Who gave editorial approval to broadcast that specific label on air?
3. Available video evidence shows zero indication of Spearman being “combative.” What objective proof do you possess to support that statement?
4. If you cannot substantiate that claim with hard evidence, when is the live on-air retraction taking place?
Paragraph 5 of Dominianni’s unexecuted affidavit states he does “not insert bias, editorialization, or inflammatory language into my reporting.”
Labeling a minor “combative” without video or documentary proof isn’t reporting—it’s pure editorialization designed to justify police action before a full investigation occurs.
Access Blacklists: Censoring Journalists and Candidates-The issues at WWMT go beyond bad reporting—they raise serious questions about political gatekeeping and campaign interference. I am not only an independent investigative journalist running FAFO Justice; I am also an officially qualified candidate for Battle Creek City Commissioner At-Large and handle press communications for a state gubernatorial campaign.
When a corporate media outlet arbitrarily locks its doors, ghosts emails, and shuts down lines of communication with an active candidate and government watchdog, they aren’t just ignoring a news tip—they are actively censoring information that voters and constituents have a right to evaluate.

The Questions WWMT & Dominianni Must Answer The Uncomfortable Reality Why accept police claims, but reject whistle-blowers?
Real journalism interrogates authority; WWMT protects it. Why direct the public to an email that goes unanswered? It creates the illusion of open doors while blocking real accountability.Does candidate access depend on who you investigate? Blacklisting watchdogs undermines the democratic process across West Michigan.
THE BOTTOM LINE: THE RECORD IS BEING DOCUMENTED Andy Dominianni and the editorial decision-makers at WWMT News Channel 3 need to understand one thing: the public sees through the silence, the receipts are archived, and FAFO Justice will not be quieted.
We aren’t asking Channel 3 for favors. We are demanding that they uphold basic journalistic standards:
1. Answer the 31 formal questions submitted regarding newsroom policies, source credibility, and candidate access.
2. Review the expert analysis and whistle-blower testimony regarding BCPD conduct.
3. Issue an immediate on-air retraction for the unsubstantiated “combative teen” framing pushed by Andy Dominianni.
4. Sign the Affidavit of Truth or publicly explain why newsroom leadership refuses to swear under oath that their police reporting is 100% accurate.
Until WWMT stops hiding behind locked studio doors and starts answering tough questions, FAFO Justice will continue taking the truth directly to the people.
