As Isaiah warns, “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness” (Isaiah 5:20, ESV). This moral inversion is evident when corruption, abuse of power, and injustice are normalized, while truth and righteousness are maligned.

For Christians, confronting such corruption is not optional—it is a divine calling. The Apostle Paul exhorts us to “put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes” (Ephesians 6:11, NIV). This armor—truth, righteousness, faith, salvation, and the Word of God—equips us to face spiritual and societal battles courageously, standing firm against deceit, intimidation, and wrongdoing.

Independent investigative journalism, such as the reporting at www.fafojustice.com, exemplifies this calling in action. By uncovering corruption, exposing abuses of authority, and shining light on hidden injustices, such reporting mirrors the biblical mandate to “speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute” (Proverbs 31:8–9, NIV). Those who engage in this work act as instruments of God’s truth, holding the powerful accountable and defending the vulnerable.

Easter reminds us that darkness does not have the final word. Just as Jesus rose from the grave, triumphing over sin and death, so too can truth triumph over corruption when pursued with courage, integrity, and faith. The resurrection is a promise that no matter how entrenched evil may seem, God’s light will prevail. Christians engaged in righteous work—whether through prayer, advocacy, or exposing injustice—participate in this victory, standing as witnesses to the transformative power of God’s justice and mercy.

As we reflect on the resurrection this Easter, let us recommit to wearing the full armor of God, standing firm against corruption, and championing truth. In a world where evil is often praised and good is often maligned, our faith, courage, and integrity are the tools by which God’s justice is revealed.

########

By Autumn Smith, FAFO Justice In today’s world, the lines between good and evil are often reversed.
